Nice to meet you.

I’m Tala.

B Psych (Hons), M Psych (Clinical)

I am the founder, director and principal psychologist at Centred Life Psychology. I first started my journey in psychology in 2017, commencing my undergraduate degree of Bachelor’s of Psychology at Western Sydney University. After graduating with honours, I moved on to the University of Technology Sydney to complete my Masters of Clinical Psychology, submitting my thesis on the relationship between chronic pain and death anxiety.

Over my many years of experience providing therapy to adults across the lifespan, I've cultivated a diverse skill set across multiple therapeutic domains, working in private and public health settings. From supporting individuals grappling with addiction in drug and alcohol settings, to facilitating group programs for women’s recovery from PTSD and Complex PTSD in a trauma hospital, my journey has been rich and varied.

I was inspired to open a practice that catered to diverse communities, as a result of my own experiences seeking therapy and struggling to find someone who could understand the nuances of my cultural upbringing and integrate my strong faith practices in therapy. I firmly believe that our cultural practices and beliefs shape who we are, and these aspects of our identity should be seen as assets in therapy, rather than barriers.

I decided to create the space that I found myself longing for, a culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed and faith based practice that focuses on a holistic approach to healing the mind, body and spirit.

Meet Adam.

B Psych (Hons), M Psych (Clinical)

Hi, I’m Adam and I would say that the best way to describe myself would be as a curious, enthusiastic and compassionate psychologist who strives to help my clients understand themselves deeply and work through challenges in their lives. I am passionate about creating a space for clients to explore themselves without judgement and I focus on delivering care with warmth and authenticity.

I have experience working with a variety of presentations including, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, stress and burnout, relationship challenges, perfectionism, cancer diagnosis and treatment, and adjustment difficulties. My special interests lie in topics like identity, self-image, shame, sexuality and addiction.

I integrate therapeutic techniques from a variety of evidence-based practices with a focus on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. The core of my practice is in understanding difficulties in the larger context of a person’s life and finding a tailored approach that suits their specific circumstances.

Meet Kate.

B Psych (Hons), M Psych (Clinical)

Hi, I'm Kate, and if you feel we may be a good fit, I'd be delighted to work with you.

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over five years’ experience supporting adults across the lifespan in both private and public health settings. I always aim for warmth, steadiness, and thoughtful presence, and I work intentionally to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, understood, and respected.

I support individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood, perfectionism, obsessive-compulsive behaviours, attachment insecurity, complex trauma (c-PTSD), and life transitions. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning and capable, yet feel internally burdened by self-criticism, fear, or emotional overwhelm.

My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and EMDR. I tailor therapy to each person’s needs, recognising that meaningful change happens when clients feel both supported and gently challenged.

Outside of the clinic, I feel most alive in nature; bushwalking, the occasional trail run, swimming in the ocean, exploring new places and (slowly!) learning to become a better snowboarder. I have a soft spot for pets, books, cooking and sharing all kinds of cuisines, and a good coffee. Above all, I’m naturally curious. I value understanding each person’s unique story and feel privileged to learn about what matters most to you, so we can work together to enrich the parts of your life that feel important.

At the heart of my work is a belief that therapy should feel collaborative and empowering. I aim to help clients deepen self-understanding, build emotional resilience, and move toward a life that feels aligned with their values.
